Black and Bleu Salad

serves 2

  • .5 lb organic grass-fed sirloin steak (use leftover steak from this recipe for best flavor)
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, washed and chopped
  • 2 cups green leaf lettuce, washed and chopped
  • 1/2 cup organic blueberries
  • 1/2 cup organic strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 4 oz crumbled blue cheese
  • balsamic vinegar and olive oil for dressing

Place lettuce on plates. Layer cheese, pecans, and steak in the middle. Add berries and drizzle with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Warm steak if desired.
